However As far as I am concerned ,I believe hardships and rewards coexist and people have to consider it from all sides. Obviously studying abroad early has a number of rewards. In the first place, a student can have access to catch up with the pace of scientific and technical advance of the world from that country' s modern lab facilities as well as insightful thoughts from more excellent teachers which might not be available at home. In the second place, students studying abroad in a young age are more able to adapt to this environment where they are exposed to entirely new ideas and trends. Last but not least, just because of the young they can pick up the latest developments of the living language there more quickly, develop their
ability of coping with the routine matters such as touching elbows with other students, Reasonable planning of life and helping with the house work, and learning many new things to widen their views and broaden their minds.
Nevertheless as every coin has two sides, studying abroad too early also confronts one with a series of hardships. For one thing, learning a foreign language is far from an easy thing at the beginning for most people. They have to spend much time learning a foreign language and even if they have learned the language, they still cannot understand thoroughly what the foreigners and teachers say just because of the unfamiliar culture background and social customs. So if they are not persons full of courage, flexibility, and determination, they are most likely to fail and learn nothing eventually. For another, because most of the middle school students' ability to take care of themselves is very poor, early independent life may not be conducive to their healthy development. An added difficulty lies with finance, since costs and expenditure are much higher than those in their native
country, most overseas student families bear a great burden.
Therefore, studying abroad should be viewed as a two-edged sword, which presents us with both benefits and troubles. The best policy, as I see it, is to take into consideration his financial conditions and his ability to adapt to new
surrounding.Personally, according to my
understanding of Chinese Middle School Students, I am more inclined to think that the university stage is a good time to go abroad.
