一、初三英语阅读理解(含答案详细解析) 1.根据短文理解,选择正确答案。
A
Some people think only school children do not agree with their parents, however, it is not true. Communication is a problem for parents and children of all ages. If it's hard for you to communicate with your parents, don't worry about it. Here are some suggestions for you to bridge generation gap(代沟).
Don't argue with your parents. Don't get to your parents when you are angry. Your parents probably won't consider your ideas if you are shouting at them You can't express(表达) yourself well if you are angry. Go to some place to cool off. Make sure you understand why you are unhappy. Then think about what you want to say to your parents. If you don't think you can speak to them at the moment, try writing a letter.
Try to reach a compromise (和解). Perhaps you and your parents disagree(有分歧) on something. You can keep your disagreement and try your best to accept each other. Michael's mother didn't agree with him about buying a car. They argued over it, but finally they came to a compromise. Michael bought the car, but only drove it on certain days.
Of course your parents might refuse to compromise on something. In these situations, it is especially important to show love and respect (尊敬) to them. Showing respect will keep your relationship strong.
Talk about your values. The values of your parents are probably different from those of your own. Tell your parents what you care about, and why. Understanding your values might help them see your purposes in life.
A good relationship with your parents can make you a better and happier person. It is worth having a try.

I opened the door. \"Where are you going, Mom?\" my elder son asked me. And his little brother asked, \"Can we come, too?\" \"I'm going for a coffee,\" I answered. \"And no, you can't come.\" Then I ran away before they could say something. But the guilt(内疚的) feelings slowly went away. Being a mom is hard work. There's always something new to do to make my kids happy. Sometimes, I need to do something just for me. It teaches my kids an important lesson: I matter, too.
I know parenting articles often tell us it's OK to take time for ourselves. But it's so much harder to walk the talk. Of course, we should put ourselves first sometimes. And not just when we are sick. I'm talking about putting ourselves first in other ways. For example, tell the baby that after
thirty minutes of reading to them, you are going to read your own book or eat at your favorite restaurant. These selfish moments are good ways to teach our children that we are important too. When you ask my kids \"What does mom like?\" They can answer with some of my interests and favorite things: reading books, watching movies, taking care of animals and them. They often see me do the things I enjoy, so they understand me and would stay with Dad. This understanding is good for our children. \"She's a mom\" shouldn't be the only way your child describes you. If it is, it's time to be a little selfish, Moms.
(1)Why did the woman leave her children quickly?
A. She had little time left that day. B. She tried not to change her mind. C. She didn't want to explain herself. D. She had many things to do that day. (3)Why do the women's kids know her favorites?
A. They have the same interests. B. They often do things together. C. They often see what she's doing. D. Their dad tells them about her interests. (4)What's the purpose of the passage? To tell Moms______________. A. How to be a good mother at home. B. to enjoy staying with their kids. C. How to become a cool mom to your kids. D. to stop always putting their kids first. 【答案】 (1)B (2)A (3)C (4)D

One Thursday afternoon, when I was in Grade 9, a new boy came into my classroom. He was short and thin. He walked up to the teacher and told her, very seriously, that he was new. His name was Christian. He sat down, took a look at me, and then looked away. I didn't think he was very nice and I was sure he wasn't the type I would like to become friends with.
During that year, I didn't talk to him much, but he smiled at me when our eyes met, always shyly. He never ate lunch with anybody, and he never talked to anybody but me.
But one day I joined those unkind kids who were making fun of him. We made fun of him though I thought it was wrong.
\"Haven't you got any friends?\" a kid asked Christian, who had walked past us alone, head down. \"No, he hasn't got any friends. He's too stupid and shy,\" I said. Then Christian looked up at me with the saddest dog eyes I had ever seen. I felt very sorry at that moment.
That night, I couldn't sleep because I couldn't get Christian's face out of my mind. In the weeks that followed, he never met my eyes in class and never smiled at me. It was really hard for me to decide to write him a note asking him to forgive (原谅) me. But I thought I should.
The next day in class, I wrote him a note telling him how sorry I felt. About five minutes later, I turned and saw tears in his eyes. \"You will never realize what your apology (道歉) has meant to me, Jimmy,\" he said to me. \"I hope we can become friends.\"
We had lunch together that noon and we had the best talk I had ever had. Over the years at high school, we were close friends.
When I think back, I realize that, if I had not apologized, I would never have known what a lovely person Christian was!
Apologies can really change your life, so never miss the chance to tell somebody you are sorry. (1)From the passage, we know Christian was a ________ boy.
A. tall and fat B. short and shy C. short and active D. lovely and fat (2)Jimmy felt ________ after he made fun of Christian with other unkind kids. A. happy B. interested C. sorry D. bored (3)This passage tells us that ________. A. we should make an apology when we hurt others B. Jimmy's apology was unimportant to Christian C. Christian wasn't lovely in fact D. it is impossible to say sorry to others 【答案】 (1)B (2)C (3)A

The other day, I got into a car accident, which was clearly not my fault. The other driver was so busy on his phone that he went right through a red light and hit my car.
A traffic policeman arrived and started taking statements. I explained that my speed was about 55 km/h. \"So you were going about 50 km/h, my lady?\" he asked. \"No, I said I was going about 55 km,/h,\" I said. \"Right, so you were driving at a speed of about 50 km/h?\" he asked again. I was a little annoyed because I felt he wasn't listening to me carefully. So I shouted, \"No! I was going about 55 km/h.\"
\"OK, if that's the way you want it,\" the officer simply replied. Because the city speed limit is 50 km/h, I only got paid from my insurance (保险) company for the damage to my car, but the other driver's insurance company couldn't pay me due to my speed. I didn't realize it at the time, but it turned out I was getting him wrong.

(4)Although it was her choice to insist on telling the truth, the writer ______. A. understood that it was impolite to be angry with others B. would not believe anybody else except herself C. remembered the exact rules of insurance for ever
D. should say \"thank you\" to the traffic policeman instead of acting rudely 【答案】 (1)C (2)D (3)B (4)D
