摘要：The present invention is directed toward a method for inhibiting COX-2 in anorganism. In particular, the method is preferably directed toward selectively inhibitingCOX-2 in an organism. The method comprises administering to the organism an organicextract isolated from a plant wherein such extract inhibits COX-2. A method to purify acomposition that exhibits COX-2 inhibition and COX-2 selective inhibition from the organicextract is also provided. In addition, a method for treating and/or preventing COX-2mediated inflammation or inflammation-associated disorders in an organism is provided.
