Step 1.Warm-up 1. Greetings 2. Review the words: water, snow, hill, polar bear, arctic hare, through, across, jump, walk, run. 3. Chant show. Step 2. New contents 1. 展示教材P47上图,T: Look at this photo, what do you want to know? Do you have any questions about it? 2. 教师将学生的提问板书在黑板上。注意纠正句子语法错误。 如:What is the boy’s name? Who’s that man? Is he the boy’s father? Where do they live? Are they live in the Arctic? Is it cold here? …… 3. 放课文录音第一段, 学生听2遍,尝试回答刚才的部分问题: What’s the boy’s name? (Howard) 鼓励学生用已学过的句子提问,也可适当使用中文。对提的好的问题特别表扬。

Read the text follow the tape sentence by sentence. 7. Some student try to read the text by themselves. 8. Ss try to read the text freely. T walks around and helps Ss. 9. Read the text together.
