Hunan nature

What is human nature? I think the answer will be various kinds from one to another. Nearly everyone has the different idea from each other. Even though the concepts of human nature are diversified, it can be generally divided into two kinds: virtuous and vicious.

Confucius points out that when the persons are little, they are all kind-hearted. However, after they grow up, influenced by the external environment, they become worse and worse. While, another man puts forward that when people are just born, they are wicked. So people must suffer all kinds of pain and hardship to improve themselves throughout their life.

Some days before, I watched a short film just about three minutes, but it reveals the human nature of avarice fully. It is said that the man is working alone in the office. Occasionally, he finds that the black hole in the paper is so special that he can get things through the black hole without hindrance. Then he becomes excited to take the commodity through the hole without paying it. He turns much greedier after obtaining the coffee successfully. Then he opens the boss’s door and wants to take the money from the strongbox. He is so grand happy to get many extravagances from the box easily that he climbs entirely into the box. Unfortunately, the paper bonded on the box falls down. As a result, he can’t go out and at the same time he gets nothing.

From the story, we can see that the man is a normal person before he finds the

black hole. But once he touches at the black hole, it is apparent that the man changes. He becomes greedy and vicious to take value things that do not belong to him. If there is a hole like this, a man accompanying with it, it is no doubt that he will have the custom to “steal” things from others frequently.

Therefore, human nature is an inconsistency. It is affected by the conditions and their own characters. Hester in The Scarlet Letter was arrested by the tyrannically local people because of adultery with a priest. She was put on a red A-word as a symbol of shame. But she was strong and brave to face all the sufferings. She used her own high moral and spiritual to help others, the scarlet letter of shame turned into a symbol of ability, and at last, it became the symbol of angel rather than shame.

Human nature is a light to guide us. It is very important to us in our whole life. Henceforth, we should try our best to keep a kind-hearted and avoid all kinds of lure. We should be generosity to the persons who need our help, having a passion of patriotism and developing our virtuous.
