Process for the electrophoretic deposition of a coating on an electricallyconductive workpiece wired as the cathode, characterized in that the deposition is carriedout from an aqueous dispersion of a cationic synthetic resin which is protonated withacids and contains amino groups, at least one fine-particled nonionic plastic dispersedtherein and a capped or blocked isocyanate at a pH value of the aqueous dispersion ofbetween 7 and 9.
